Street campaigns

The street campaign provides an alternative dimension of social change. Its aim is to identify the problems within a community and, through street animation (street theatre, flash mobs, juggling, clowns and so on) and through the creation of the right context for application, to bring awareness to the identified issues and to find potential solutions.

Street campaigns make accessible the places where social intervention cannot reach otherwise: in the street, in the sand, on the grass, in a parking lot or in the middle of a city; this provides the opportunity for autonomous spectators to watch for as long as they like, whenever they like.

In 2008 we organized our first street campaign within the „Awareness on Your Street” project, where the teams used street animation to surprise passers-by, and to fascinate them with a colourful spectacle, thus promoting tolerance and raising awareness.
